One of the world’s most legendary guitarists, Eric Clapton, celebrates the upcoming Crossroads Festival with a brand new collection of guitars...
Having reportedly co-worked with Gibson, Fender and C. F. Martin & Company, the famous singer has unveiled the Eric Clapton Crossroads Guitar Collection, which will be exclusively available at Guitar Center, carefully recreates two of the most famous guitars ever, including three brand new 000-sized signature instruments.
The Brownie is also known as the Layla Stratocaster and was the first Stratocaster to have ever been owned by Mr. Clapton. It can be purchased at $15,000 and boasts with a DVD featuring an interview with Eric Clapton, the “Layla Box Set” and a similar hardshell case with “DEREK AND THE DOMINOS” inscription stenciled.
The other one of the two, the Lucy, costs the same $15,000. Connoisseurs admit this is one of the most important electric guitars of all time. This wonderful cherry red 1957 Les Paul Goldtop was previously owned by Eric Clapton and later passed to his close friend George Harrison. The one who buys it will also be gifted with a hardshell case, the audiophile remastered , 180 gm vinyl edition of the White Album from The Beatles.
The Martin comes as a response to Eric Clapton’s great run as an acoustic guitarist. C. F. Martin & Company have come up with three brand new 000-sized signature acoustic guitars. Each of them is priced at $6,000 and come with a number of twiddles – crossroad symbol inlaid in mother of pearl into bridge (000-28EC) headstock, shroud and leather strap, signature case and the signature fingerboard inlay between the 19th and 20th frets.
The last series of pieces of the lot comprises the EC Series Amps, signature amps that were firstly used by Eric Clapton and Fender. The series celebrates Clapton’s involvement with these models, which were hand-crafted in the US. They are available for $1,000, $2,000 and $3,000 a piece.
