Following the success and the demand of clients maison Corthay stay true to philosophy to be different by using specific design and patina and in a same time to be respectful for traditional work process. . Pierre is a gifted shoe designer and an exceptional craftsman - in fact he is the only men's shoe-maker to have been awarded the 'Maitre d'Art' distinction by the French Ministry of Culture.
A bespoke Corthay shoe is made 100 per cent by hand at the small and highly traditional Rue Volney atelier in the heart of Paris. The process begins with a personal consultation with either Pierre or Christophe Corthay or Christophe Algans; Corthay’s chef d’atelier since 2012. The stunning outcome: an exclusive handcrafted pair of shoes, made to last decades and procure a pleasure that is constantly renewed. Main creative studio is located in Paris. Their shoes are then sold in own 'Maisons' - in Paris, London, Tokyo, Dubai, Hong Kong, Seoul - or in the best Department stores throughout the world.
And we visited the most famous shoe-maker in Paris…Corthay, master of Elegance , coming to Belgrade for the 24 hours of Elegance opening gala on September 5th at the Royal palace.
