BOSS ORANGE MENSWEAR - Spring 2014

Say hello to lamb leather jackets with tribal-pattern linings and shoulder studs; tees with bandana prints, polo shirts with sprayer-look Brit pop stripes. In other words, the time to be timid is over!

In spring 2014 BOSS Orange stands for casualwear with an attitude, presenting outfits inspired by the laid-back looks of the legendary music festivals. The open-air lifestyle of Glastonbury and Coachella has taken to the streets – of every city.

The collection combines the strengths of BOSS Orange with the key looks of festival-going Bohemians. A little Trilby hat lends a Pete Doherty twist to the offhand pairing of a nylon blouson and backpack. A bulky-knit hippie sweater with sunkissed yellow stripes goes synthpop-lite with a bandana and relaxed jeans. The key to authenticity lies in the special vintage treatments. The biker jacket isn’t leather – it’s stone-washed denim; even the suede jackets are washed. Fresh finishes turn casual pieces into impactful style statements. Faded block stripes on tees and polos – and colorful micro floral patterns on shirts – will draw second glances this season. The color story is varied but not loud; details are perfected by hand.

The collection is amplified in every sense of the word, and it’s throbbing with energy. All-time classics are granted the license to be something entirely different for a change. A trench with a big hood was just born to be wild in Glastonbury. A lightweight nylon windbreaker is outfitted with a chunky zipper and works anywhere – as daywear, as nighttime clubwear – and naturally at any festival. Standard summer pieces take on surprising new looks – like the shorts that pair with a gray blazer displaying foil-printed lapels. Vintage goes state-of-the-art.

Laid-back sneakers and suede ankle boots join accessories like messenger bags and matching belts to complete the casual look. BOSS Orange is the place for true individualists. Bring on the new festival season!
