DIOR HOMME 2015 - spring-summer

Picking up where he left off for fall 2014, Dior Hommecreative director Kris Van Assche began his summer 2015 show with a lineup of conservative pinstripe suits in navy.

The details such as a grommeted fastener gave a hint to the naval theme that inspired Van Assche this season. Mixing formal and casual as he does so well, the designer embraced an outing at sea. Paying an homage to Christian Dior, words from a letter written by the designer were used as a nostalgic print. Combined with contrasting stripes that covered t-shirts, knitwear and tanks, the Dior man was a sartorial personality to learn from. In the bustle of tailored suiting, the denim trend emerged once more with distressed jeans and a blazer making the cut. From denim jeans to a blazer and bomber jacket, Dior’s handprinted words made an appearance once more, before settling for a colorful play on scribbles, which brought the charming collection full circle, marrying the whimsical with a grounded purpose.
