New York Fashion Week kicks off with the announcement that Kate Upton has been named 2013′s Model of the Year.
Upton rocketed to fame when she graced the cover of Sport Illustrated for its annual swimsuit issue (which she has done for two consecutive years). Upton will accept the award at the 10th Annual Style Awards.
In 2013, Upton become the face of David Yurman, and appeared on the cover of numerous magazines, including Vogue, Elle and Vanity Fair. She will also appear in the film “The Other Woman” with Cameron Diaz in 2014.
