JAPANESE RESTAURANT IN ROME - AKASAKA

Akasaka restaurant is located in one of the new districts in Rome, where there are several offices and housing the heads of the Roman government.

Interior space is quite calm in the urban context. Three rooms and one single room make the room of the restaurant. Visually, the two rooms communicate with each other, but the other halls and the rooms are quite large insulated with a wall. The goal of this design is to provide a different spatial character of each area.

The restaurant specializes in Japanese cuisine, which is really interesting especially for Italy, a country with a rich and famous cuisine.

The restaurant contains elements of the moon, the clouds, the stars, the wind, trees and people. In addition, using oriental color scheme and patterns project aims to create oriental atmosphere located in the western urban context.

Wall which runs a central place in the restaurant is comprised of 620 wooden cubes. Each cube is located at a different distance from the wall and it is a liquid system. The lights are installed behind the cube. They represent the night sky: the moon behind the clouds.
