Play restaurant & bar in Beirut
Located inside the H Hotel in Dubai is the opulent restaurant Play, designed by Beirut based design firm Gatserelia Design.
Inspired by the Dubai skyline, Gregory Gatserelia’s concept for Play incorporates the energy-filled days and vibrant nights of the city. Gregory Gatserelia describes guests as being ‘‘immediately transported by a breeze of luxury and lights into a playful world, a world of clouds and dreams, of lights and of gold dust.’’ His reinterpretation of shapes, forms, lines and lights set the lively tone of this one-of-a-kind dining and bar experience.
The striking ceiling, made of Italmesh, absorbs sound allowing guests to effortlessly converse while also appreciating the music.
Gregory Gatserelia’s concept for Play was to "to break the formality of typical restaurant seating" by creating custom-made furniture so guests can not only sit comfortably, but fully enjoy their surroundings such as the stunning Art Deco accents around the main bar as well as the view of the sea from the dining room.
Introducing guests to a "chic and timeless multi-level world of expression and creativity," Play’s dining experience is like no other. The fluid spaces and modern design facilitate a unique and playful environment accompanied by an exceptional menu that blends both Mediterranean and Asian cuisine.
Gregory Gatserelia’s projects always have an authentic signature that adds a special touch to make each space remarkable.
"We see the full concept of Play come together in a cohesive and elegant manner, giving new meaning to what a dining experience truly should be." Gregory Gatserelia
