CINI&NAILS COLLIER

A LED suspended or over-table luminaire with dimmer, for interiors with dual light emission and double switch: localized direct downlighting and indirect uplighting...

On or more transparent methacrylate rings, each made up of 20 little cubes, rest on a load-bearing disc made of aluminium and stainless steel polished to a mirror finish, on which the LEDs are housed. Available in the versions from one to four crowns, and modular to create a light column with the height desired.

Cini&Nils was established in 1969, when Franco Bettonica and Mario Melocchi combined their creativity and passion. The result when the two designers pooled their skills was a variety of utterly modern products. Some of these pieces – the Bar, Table and Desktop collections, the Portariviste swivel magazine rack, the Cubobar and the Card Table – now feature in the Study Collection at the MoMA in New York, as illustrations of their value to the history of design both in Italy and in the world as a whole.

In 1972, Franco Bettonica and Mario Melocchi designed the Cuboluce. For Cini&Nils, the launch of this “luminous object” – which hovers midway between a discussion piece and a lamp – marked the beginning of the company’s exploration of design in the area of lighting.

Gradi, Tenso, Convivio, CiniLightSystem, Bouquet, Sestessa and Componi now bring the poetry of Cini&Nils to completion, expressing innovative ideas, basic shapes, quality materials and care for details and finishes.

Their efficiency, versatility and sheer beauty make Cini&Nils luminaires and systems ideal for illuminating even the most important public spaces – museums, places of worship, commercial interiors, offices, showrooms, hotels and restaurants – as well as an infinite number of private homes.
