COLOS COMPLETES THE SPLIT COLLECTION WITH THE ALUMINIUM VERSION
After the plastic and the wood, the famous seat designed by Francesco Meda changes skin one more time
After the success at the Salone del Mobile, Colos, the increasing Italian brand, presents the last pieces of the iconic Split collection designed by Francesco Meda. After have play wisely with the plastic and the wood, now is the turn of the aluminium to complete an "all materials" line. But how is it born this new elegant collection?
The Split world definitely deserves to be explored: the chair’s got some original and innovative lines, while its inner qualities can be felt when sitting. Its frame and shell are composed of synthetic materials with variable portions of fibre glass. This ensures both a stable feet and a flexible seat. The use of materials is reduced to a minimum, giving Split a physical and optical lightness. A close look at it will therefore reveal what it has to offer.
After the plastic it was the time for the wood with the Split GL. This creation carries the product to more sophisticated solutions. Split GL is proposed like the ideal solution for indoor and outdoor spaces that need aesthetic and more valued materials. In fact, while keeping the same shell, the product changes its image, becoming more unique and personal. The legs greater proximity to the center of the seat combined with the natural effect of the new material, wood, lends the product a new sense of composure.
Finally, on the occasion of the Salone, it was presented as a preview the last innovation, the Split made by tubular aluminium, that gives more versatility to a product that can be insert in any context, indoor and outdoor.
On this way the brand demonstrates to know how manage different materials highlighting the uncommon productivity and that go with a democratic design philosophy where quality and price go at the same pace. A design for everyone and with all materials!
