SCAB Design's sense for work
SCAB Design at Orgatec 2018, the international fair dedicated to the office and the workspace, reveals its natural affinity to this year's theme: the need for a cultural reflection functional to the design of inclusive work environments where creativity and new ideas can thrive.
The company from Brescia has always expressed in its products the passion for interweaving design, technology, craftsmanship, in the name and respect of the Made in Italy.
"Made in Italy" is the guarantee that SCAB Design offers to create a new and more contemporary vision of the office environment, in which it is necessary to collaborate, listen, and discuss in a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, as is typical of Italian culture.
The exhibition concept of the architectural studio Luca Piatti pursues the objective of expressive clarity: the stand is open like the open mind necessary to stimulate creativity and professional responsibility.
Open to better appreciate the application of every single product in the different contexts of the work environment, where, more and more frequently, there is a seamless interpenetration of workstations and relaxation islands. In this stage of backgrounds and foregrounds, the spotlight is pointed at the chair Lisa, thanks to its great success at the Salone del Mobile 2018 in Milan, where it was presented. Last born, the Lisa seat designed by Marcello Ziliani, available as a chair, armchair, and bar stool, is a clear historical and aesthetic reference to the allure of the 50s and 60s.
The SCAB Design collection offers product families in a repertoire rich in finishes and fabrics, capable of furnishing traditional and operational work spaces as well as places intended for reception, meeting, smart working, up to service areas such as cafeterias and canteens. Together with Lisa, the products for a veritable office landscape are several: we suggest Zebra Pop, the swivel chair on wheels designed by Luisa Battaglia presented in Germany with the new restyling, the Me & You seats designed by Simone Micheli, and the Metropolis table conceived by the Centro Stile Scab. Alice Pop completes the offer, designed by Arter&Citton.
Lisa and Lisa Wood, Marcello Ziliani design
Lisa reflects the sophisticated tone that infused interior decor in the ‘50s and ‘60s. Its shape inspires a sense of reassuring warmth, retro charm and memories of home. The enveloping and comfortably upholstered seatback and seat make Lisa the ideal complement to a living room or contract setting. The lightweight but strong metal structure heightens the visual sense of lightness. Lisa comes in three versions: chair, armchair and stool.
The Lisa chair, armchair and stool have the following base finishes: painted anthracite, chromed, satin brass effect, polished black nickel. Upholstery: fabrics, faux-leather and velvet (sand, chestnut, green and brick). Fire-resistant. Padded seat and seatback with curved plywood core. Structure in 16 mm Ø tubular steel.
Lisa Wood has the same base finishes (painted anthracite, chromed, satin brass effect, polished black nickel) with seat and seatback in curved beech plywood, in the following finishes: bleached beech, Canaletto walnut, natural oak and black stained oak. Structure in 16 mm Ø tubular steel. Stackable.

Functionality, comfort, and aesthetic rigor define this seat that comes with a restyling for the colour palette of the fabrics and with a minimal decor traced by a horizontal stitching that gives it a strong, stern character.
Available in two versions, with wheels or trestle base, both with chromed frame, robust and rational, they are particularly suitable for offices and meeting rooms.
Zebra Pop with wheels: Upholstered body with polycarbonate core. Swivel frame, adjustable height with gas piston. Base on wheels with 5 spokes in polished aluminium. For internal use.
Alice Pop, Arter&Citton design
Two personalities, one modern and Rationalist, the other warm and reassuring, embody this collection. The Natural solid beech structure, with bleached or wenge finish, supports a padded shell upholstered in velvet for a sophisticated vintage vibe. The Alice metal version still retains its understated charm, thanks to the slender but strong steel legs with satin brass or anthracite finish. Alice Pop is the perfect all-around seating option, versatile and easily adapted to any surroundings.
