The Litta Variations: 4th Movement
Living Divani has reconfirmed its presence for the second year at Palazzo Litta for the exhibition "The Litta Variations: 4th movement"orchestrated by MoscaPartners in collaboration with the magazine Damn°.
Active in the contract world and important partner of the most prestigious architectural firms, offering a wide catalogue and the possibility of developing ad hoc projects, Living Divani has participated to the transformation of the courtyard of the Baroque palace with the "Tempietto nel Bosco" installation by Asif Khan, an international architect engaged in developing his discipline toward innovative and unexpected directions.
The event attracted around 50,000 people and Khan’s project has been selected as one of the best exhibitions among the numerous proposals of the Milan Design Week.
“I wanted to offer a moment of respite, a moment of relaxation. Our pavilion is a place to have conversations and unwind, to imagine something possible like an inspiration of what you’ve seen at the Salone. And it’s essentially a public space”. says Asif Khan.
As claimed by the London-based archistar, his courtyard installation was aimed at offering a new experience in the environment, acting as an oasis. It represented a “small temple in the woods” where different red timber columns surrounded a Carrara marble clearing in the middle. The red columns designed various “abstract rooms” where only 3-4 people could stay and relax together in intimacy.
Inside this stylized forest are hung different seats in woven tubular supplied by Living Divani, a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional outdoor hammock in a deluxe way.
At the centre of all of this, there was an astonishing white marble circular surface inducing people to slow down and feel a kind of decompression, a pause. A series of Ile poufs with light and sophisticated shapes, presented in different heights and sizes with a thin metal structure, delineated the area with contemporary beauty.
A place devoted to relaxation, which expressed the aesthetic research and the Made in Italy craftmanship of which Living Divani is ambassador.
