Timeless Harrods furniture collection

Harrods brand has teamed up with two very important brands of furniture - the Italian company Porada and British company Artistic Upholstery, to create their first line of furniture, created in-house…

Director of Home sector, Annalise Fard is behind this initiative. She has brought many significant changes in the brand, including cooperation with brands like Tom Dixon and Kelly Wearstler. The debut collection will include cabinets, tables, console, armchairs and a sofa, and each piece is inspired by the art deco jewelry and tailoring.

"Harrods Interiors who often work on impeccable pieces of furniture for residential projects that are managed and we identified the Art Deco aesthetics of the thirties as a style that many of our customers appreciate," said Fard. "This is a period that reminds us of the timeless elegance and really acts as the perfect starting point," she added.

Harrods department store also offers Porada furniture since 1994, and now the brand presented its expertise in the latest Harrods project, helping them to overcome all the challenges in creating elegant details that are crucial when it comes to collections like this.

"We wanted to make sure that, wherever possible, the natural structure of the wood is seen and feelt. Carraway drinks cabinet doors are the perfect example of that, because the texture of wood is juxtaposed with geometric inserts with satin finishing touches, "explains Annalise Fard.
