Kelly Hoppen for Chesneys
Chesneys is delighted to present a brand new collection of Fireplaces and Accessories, exclusively designed by the internationally renowned British designer Kelly Hoppen.
Having worked together successfully before, pioneers and icons in their relative fields, Paul Chesney and Kelly Hoppen were keen to collaborate once again, resulting in this new collection: the biggest collection Chesneys has ever produced with an independent designer.
Now that Chesneys has a new 3500sq ft flagship London store with a light gallery-style space to work with, it was felt that the most fitting way to open was with a nationally recognized and highly accomplished acclaimed British designer.
“The Jack is a real statement piece; the imbalance of detail is unique with the nickel strips and shadow gaps. It works really well with modern or classic furniture” says Kelly Hoppen.
The Stoppard is simple and classic. From straight or side on it imitates the detail of a Hollywood staircase and is sure to make a statement. The Depp Fire Basket is sleek and I love the way it looks as if it is floating”, says Kelly Hoppen
“The Pinter is a sensual mixture of marble and metal. I love the beautiful deep marble peeking out of the polished brass wrapped around it”, says Kelly Hoppen.
“The Dylan is my take on a classic limestone fire surround but creating more sharpness and The Miller Register Grate is a real classic but with my proportions. Its dense style will add grandeur and depth to any room”, says Kelly Hoppen.
“The collection was created to produce a definitive collection for everyone. The fireplace has been an item that simply sits in the home and we design a balance of furniture around it. I wanted to reignite the love of the fireplace and its accessories to make it the focus of the room, in as much as it could stand alone as a table does in a hall and be seen as a work of art”, says Kelly Hoppen.
“The key note of the collection is the combination of stone, marble and various metals used in Kelly’s inimitable style, to produce a series of striking but eminently liveable-with effects which can be brought into the home for a timeless appeal. We are delighted to have been able to make these exceptional pieces and have great pleasure in hosting them as the centrepieces in our new space”, says Paul Chesney.
