Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana’s villa for sale

Located on the active volcanic island of Stromboli, this eclectic villa shines with color…

Idyllic villa located on the shores of Sicily, which is owned by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, creative duo which leads the fashion house Dolce & Gabbana, has just been put for sale, with the price of 7.3 million dollars.

While this home with seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms which located on a dramatic cliff with a spectacular view of the Mediterranean sea can seem rustic and not so interesting from the outside, on the inside it is definitely an homage to true Dolce & Gabbana style.

We hope that there is no connection between the decision of this couple to sell their spectacular home and the recent eruption the volcano. The challenge for every potential buyer is in the fact that the villa is located in the shadow of the volcano, which has been active pretty regularly in the past 2.000 years.

Thanks to the fact that this home is located on the northeast part of the island, it is shielded from the lava flow, but not from smoke and ashes which occur at the time of the eruption. These business partners have been the owners of this estate since the nineties, and they bought it from a local builder who connected three small cottages in order to create it.

In the exterior, this villa contains open decks perfect for watching sunrises on East, relaxing in the shades of a lemon tree or walking down to the beach to enjoy the fresh sea water.

Still, the true magic occurs in the interior. Each room is a kaleidoscope of colors and textures, with numerous walls and floors covered with local, hand painted details, with wild, eclectic designs.

In the living room, oversized, ornamental chandeliers, which consist of a few hundred whimsical pieces of hand blown glass with interesting colors hand from the ceiling.

Each of the seven bedroom is characterized by its main color – from wicked shade of electric green, to white washed purple, pink, bright blue, all the way to lemon yellow.

Also, in the interior, we can see numerous collections of home appliances created in Dolce & Gabbana style. Still, the villa oozes relaxing, almost rustic feeling. Delicate lace curtains decorate each window, while the heavy wooden closets, shelves and sideboards complete the space.

If this villa seems familiar, you should know that it was used for filming Dolce & Gabbana TV commercial for Intenso men’s perfume, where the main character was Colin Farrell.
