This villa is primarily designed as an oasis, where the island can be experienced in a rather relaxed way. With unique elements and details, Roca Llisa estate can be called the epitome of contrast to Ibiza.
Requirements of client before the start of construction of the villa were very clear and simple. The villa, which has a uniquely designed, classic Mediterranean style, had to function as a place where a family will live, or as a sheltered, meditative space, while also an ideal environment for a family or larger gatherings with friends.
Design approach was focused on the use of natural, organic materials such as wood and stone. These tactile materials add a feeling of warmth and hospitality in the predominantly contemporary architecture. Textured materials are added ambience and depth minimalist and clean the interior. Large sliding glass doors here have only one role, and that is mixing the natural environment with the interior, without a clear and visible boundary.
Each room of the villa on three levels has a different function. Interior design and its decoration had to be simultaneously casual and elegant, to express a modern, relaxed, almost bohemian character, free of clutter and hefty, intrusive layers.
In this villa, every detail has its place, in order to create an environment that is both ideal for relaxation and serious work. The style of the Mediterranean that here flourishes without disturbance contributed to the glamorous dimension of this estate, creating a unique view of contemporary design.
