Where will Obamas live after the White House?

For several months now, we’re hearing stories of the Obama family which will move to their new home pretty soon. After leaving the White House, their new location of choice choice is limited to parts of Washington, specifically Kalorama.

According to sources, the family will move into a house of 760 square meters, with eight bedrooms and the same number of bathrooms. The property is located in Belmont Street and is part of the exclusive Kalorama settlement. The value of the market is estimated at 6.35 million. The new neighborhood is made up of a number of buildings owned by the ambassadors, industrial magnates and former politicians. The owner of the house, Joe Lockhart, also used to be active in politics, where he held several positions as Secretary for the Media for Bill Clinton and advisor to John Kerry in 2004.

There is speculation that many agencies have tried to find the perfect place for the Obamas, but according to a personal agreement between Barack Obama and Lockhart, who collaborated in the past, they’ve made the choice to choose house in Kalorama. One of the reasons for moving to Kalorama, which is close to the current location of the White House, is primarily a decision that the youngest daughter Sasha needs to complete her education started in Washington.

House is located in a quiet place surrounded by a park, offers ideal conditions for the former president and his family. Parking space is provided for ten cars, which will be an excellent bearing in mind the number of members of the secret service who are responsible for the safety of any high-ranking official.

Washington area where the house is located, Kalorama, was home to many former presidents in the past - Woodrow Wilson, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Warren Harding and Herbert Hoover, and is close to as many as 28 embassies. Nearby are the properties owned by Joseph Biden, and Clinton family.
