LOUIS MOINET STARDANCE WATCH

Watchmakers from Louis Moinet have taken the galaxy by storm with their latest creation, the interstellar Louis Moinet Stardance timepiece.

Why interstellar? Because this watch features a fragment of the enstatite eH3 meteorite that represents the moon at 12 o’clock, surrounded by the night sky. This meteorite is said to come from Mercury’s orbit, and it was apparently formed in cosmic collisions that took place even before our solar system was formed, over 4.5 billion years ago. The magnificent moon phase contains  scintillating nano-diamonds, which makes Louis Moinet’s timepiece truly bespoke.

The dial of the watch is made from mother of pearl featuring Cotes du Jura guilloche and displaying the twin universes of night and day. The night at 12 o’clock with the cosmic moon while the daytime is symbolized by a silvered sun shape at 6 o’clock. The back of the Louis Moinet Stardance watch is also mind blowing, displaying the beautiful automatic movement, and continuing the celestial theme as the central disc is adorned with another moon shape, surrounded by the golden rays of the sun adorning the motor.

A hand-sewn, white alligator leather strap completes this watchmaking marvel, that’s going to be produced in a limited run of just 365 pieces. The price for this beauty? € 19,018 or about $ 25,967.
