We are sure that watchmakers who work for the brand Jacob & Co did not have steampunk retro vibration in mind when they designed this exquisite model...
But still, this watch just exudes this energy. American watchmaking brand that has worked on this project constantly surprises us with controversial projects, so you never know what you can expect of them, but of course, none of their designs can be called boring.
For example, three years ago, the brand impressed the whole world with its magnificent Epic SF24 Travel edition with a unique design and a retro watch display that was reminiscent of airports and travel. Earlier this month, the company presented its novelties, Jacob & Co SF24 Flying Tourbillon model, which will also be available as a version with diamonds.
Just as its name suggests, this model has a "flying" tourbillon at 10 o'clock position, near the main dial. At position 12 o’clock you can see the retro split flip-display, which gives owners the option of choosing one of 24 time zones, while enjoying the refined making and unique visual effects in the real Jacob & Co style.
This model runs Jacob & Co caliber JCCAA03, which has 528 components and a frequency of 28,800 vph, power reserve of 48 hours and all the sophisticated Horologic final details by which Jacob & Co company is known, such as polished details and sand blasted finish.
Jacob & Co novelty will be presented in three different versions, and all three will have a body of 18-carat rose gold. The most expensive version, Jacob & Co Epic SF24 Flying Tourbillon Baguette, will impress you with the help of 79 baguette diamonds with total weight around 8.13 carats which occupy the right side of the case. Also, it is worth mentioning that this version also has decor in its black lacquered dial in the form of an additional 25 baguette diamonds that weight 0.85 carats.
Two other versions of this timer will anthracite opaline dials, and one will have the final details of the pattern of the hive, while others will be decorated with the names of the biggest cities in the world. These two versions will be available in 101 piece, and will cost around 220,000 €. Diamond version will be presented as a limited edition of only 18 pieces, and will cost € 350,000.
