Ulysse Nardin Stranger – World’s First Musical Wristwatch...


Ulysse Nardin has launched in Zurich, on March 13, 2013, a clock that mimics the music box and plays Strangers in the Night, unforgettable song which was Frank Sinatra’s greatest hit back in 1966, every hour or as needed. This clock is signed by Ulysse Nardin’s partner and musician Dieter Meier. The watch will be produced in a limited edition of 99 copies.

This model comes encased in 18-carat pink gold diameter 45mm. Clock runs Ulysse Nardin in-house caliber UN-690 automatic mechanism with 64 jewels and power reserve of 48 hours. In this mechanism, Ulysse Nardin was using silicon parts. Time is set by pressing the crown and turns up and down, instead of the classic pull crown. Melody “Strangers in the Night” can be heard every hour or pressing Poucher, located at position 10, by which it can be turned off and the hour ring. On the dial is a Roman hour markers and small secondary position 6. You can see a musical mechanism with rotating disk. The glass is of course, sapphire with AR coating.

Ulysse Nardin Stranger Musical Wristwatch is supplied on a leather strap with a buckle overlapping of pink gold. Development of this original luxurious model lasted for five years.
