The most expensive piece of jewelry in the world

The Chinese and their love for the jewelry industry continue to evolve and grow...

Novelties which we can see this time are coming from Hong Kong and from jeweler Chow Tai Fook, who created a piece of wearable art, which can easily become the most expensive piece of jewelry ever - a diamond necklace with jade, which weighs 383.4 carats and bears the name A Heritage in Bloom.

This necklace was designed by Wallace Chan, and can be worn in 27 different ways, by combining the different sections. It is decorated with 11,551 diamonds, including 24 colorless and flawless cut stone made by Chow Tai Fook. Its main ornament is the diamond of 104 carats, which was cut from the Cullinan Heritage diamond, which weighs 507.55 carats. Chow Tai bought the diamond in 2010 at an auction, at a cost of 35 million dollars.

The design of this necklace perfectly reflects the Chinese culture. Around the diamonds of 104 carats is a circle of white jade, which Chow used to symbolize flowing culture, because the jade is appreciated in the East and fits perfectly with the diamond, which is very important in the West. On this necklace we can see the sets diamond and jade, with two diamonds decorated with bats symbolized good fortune, and two butterflies create confusion between dream and reality, which is an ode to Taoism.

The price of the necklace is about $ 200 million. But there will be no buyers for this piece - not due to lack of interest. It is simply not for sale, but is part of Chow’s private collection of valuable items.
