Despite the windy climate in Rocas Santo Domingo, Chile, Rock House is designed by a company ‘’UN Arquitectura’’, as a summerhouse which is perfect for family vacations.
Outside of the house shows interesting juncture of shapes and space, inspirational sobriety because of the colors and functionality, which is the result of the materials used. Concrete and wood has been used to visual split the levels of the house, and this design also gives this project a strong character.
Structured on two floors, on the first floor of Rock House you can find social spaces, while on the second you can find bedrooms. Defined by a broad use of wood and large windows, interior gives a sense of warmth, which is contrast with the sobriety of the facade.
Good choice of furniture and subtle colors in details are also elements which bring to a total feeling of welcome. The whole house looks like orbiting around central yard, which gives it residents an opportunity to enjoy this green oasis.
