DESIGNED FOR PERFORMANCE

LaCie Blade Runner by Philippe Starck is limited to 9.999 pieces...

Design meets technology with the limited-edition LaCie Blade Runner portable hard drive imagined by French product designer and architect Philippe Starck, who’s renowned as a legend of modern design, and for its creations like the Volteis $40k electric car, the Parrot's Ancient Gold’ Zikmu speakers, St.Trop steam shower, and the Steve Jobs' Yacht "Venus" which is controlled by iMacs and boasts sleek and minimalist design directly inspired by Apple. Described to be more like a piece-of-art than just a masterly designed hard drive, this one-of-a-kind creation that combines organic curves and artificial angles, impressively represents the combination of human and machine. As well equipped as it’s designed, this metaphor inspired by a cyber-future showcased in the 1982 American dystopian science-fiction movie ‘Blade Runner’ directed by iconic Ridley Scott, comes with 4TB drive and high-speed USB 3.0 interface that delivers more than enough performance to handle even the most data-intensive works.

The LaCie Blade Runner's sharp, cage-like aluminum enclosure surrounds an almost anthropomorphic, liquid metal interior, while its special radiator design dissipates the heat rapidly to help boost performance, while ensuring long-term reliability.

Notably, the iconic signature cross symbol of Philippe Starck appears as an LED power button on the front of the LaCie Blade Runner, which glows orange when the drive is powered on, or green when it’s in Eco Mode which lowers the power consumption by up to 75% when not in use.

Besides offering worry-free, automatic backup for both Mac and PC computers, the  LaCie Blade Runner comes with built-in LaCie Private-Public software, which makes sure that your files are secure and protected, along with 10GB of Wuala Online Storage for 1-year to securely store and share data online.
