Moschino dives deep into the ocean of scents with its latest release, the Toy 2 Pearl perfume...

The brand has enlisted supermodel Devon Aoki to breathe life into the fragrance in a mesmerizing advertising campaign captured by designer Jeremy Scott. Devon posed dressed as a mermaid, in a dazzling pink dress, holding a gigantic perfume bottle in her hands, as if it were some treasure lost at the bottom of the ocean.

The Moschino Toy 2 Pearl campaign doesn't stop at mermaid-inspired images; it takes it a step further into "mermaidcore" style. Devon's dress features a neckline inspired by seashells, and the scene is set with her in a shell, evoking the ethereal atmosphere of Sandro Botticelli's iconic painting, "The Birth of Venus."

This is an homage to art history, adding layers of meaning to the campaign. The dress itself is a return to the shell-shaped swimsuit that Jeremy Scott designed for his brand back in 2000 - a design that Devon has already worn.

The perfume itself is as enchanting as the visuals. Inspired by the ocean floor and Tahitian mother-of-pearl, the fragrance aims to transport you to the underwater world. Immerse yourself in a sensory journey as you open the Toy 2 Pearl perfume. The scent opens with a powerful burst of lemon heart, oregano, and lemon sorbet, like sunlight on the surface of the ocean.

As you dive deeper, a floral embrace of middle notes awaits - sandalwood in harmony with jasmine and freesia. Finally, the scent settles with base notes of musk, vetiver, and cypress, echoing the earthy, mysterious depths of the sea.

Behind the scenes, a talented team worked on perfecting Devon's oceanic charm. Hairstylist Danilo Dixon shaped her hairstyle, while makeup artist Mary Phillips added the finishing touches. Kristen Vallow was responsible for set design, ensuring that every detail contributes to the watery theme of the campaign.

This is not Devon's first encounter with the Moschino Toy 2 line; she was the face of the campaign back in 2018. Her return marks not only a new chapter for the perfume but also a renewed collaboration that continues to captivate the senses.
