JARDIN DEL ASIA RESTAURANT

Adventure and relaxation – two sides of a travel story. Once you set your mind on Bolivia as your next destination, you might want to enjoy a special atmosphere at restaurant Jardín del Asia, a luxurious place that combines oriental and tropical design details.

Part of the Los Tajibox Hotel in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, this highly appreciated restaurant used to be a warehouse between the hotel’s Convention Center and parking lot, now cleverly transposed into modern design by architect Juan Carlos Menacho. Three main zones – outdoor garden, dining area and service area – compose the restaurant’s layout, inviting guests in with a warm front facade visually adapted to the tropical climate around.

Six micro-environments – lounge, liquor bar, sushi bar, fusion tables, private areas for groups and teppanyaki tables – sum up to 150 dining places. According to the architects, the design was created to be flexible: “the public and private, the formal and informal, the festive and romantic, the individual, the couple or the group should be able to find – and appropriate – a corner, a niche, a sector of the dining area.” All of these were gathered under the illusion of a visit to a native village in the Amazonian jungle. Scenic and symbolic, the restaurant adorned with a Zen garden, a water mirror and tropical vegetation, was designed to welcome guests into a world of peace, where an exciting gastronomic fusion experience awaits.
