AUTO MOTO D'EPOCA PADOVA 2013

It’s an incredible feeling when someone is able to present a gift of the past to the present day, bringing upon a feeling of sincere admiration.

Padua welcomed the autumn season by hosting the “Auto e moto d’Epoca” which took place from October 24th until the 27th.  With an incredible panorama of luxury collectable cars, this international exhibition lured thousands of visitors during the 4-day event.

"24 hours of Elegance" had its world premiere during this event with a special thanks to our partner, UNIQA Insurance.  During this premier appearance, Aleksandar Djordjevic and his associates presented the Serbian Federation for Historical Vehicles and the Automobile Museum as partners of one of the most important exhibitions of vintage cars in the world.  One of the world’s most famous collectors, Mr. Corrado Lopresto, made his own personal contribution, promoting our city and country by exclusively taking part in our presentation. He presented the spectacular 1946 formula “Cisitalia d46” driven by  Tazio Nuvolari ( winner of the Belgrade’s 1939 Grand Prix) that participated in Monaco’s 1948 Grand Prix.

The “24 hours of Elegance” stand had many visitors which were also introduced to the “Uniqa Belgrade Classic Car Show” as well as the history behind our very own “Kalemegdan Grand Tour Historique,” which follows the same route of last pre-war Grand Prix that took place in Belgrade in 1939 as the city race and which will also celebrate its 75th anniversary next year.  The audience also had the opportunity to become acquainted with the beauties that our country and city has to offer. Mr Maurizio Ceschin, world champion of offshore powerboat racing (over 2000hp), announced his involvement in our new marine segment of our “24 hours of Elegance” Porto Montenegro edition, taking place next July.

As a special world exclusive, Belgrade will host Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera coach building company from Milan, who will present over 10 historical models made specifically for Aston Martin, Alfa Romeo, Lancia to name only a few.  (http://www.touringsuperleggera.eu/en/historyGallery.php)

Special thanks to the events Director, Mr. Mario Baccaglini, who was directly responsible for this extremely organized exhibition in Padua, bringing together many respected collectors as well as being a stepping stone for international promotion of both editions of "24 hours of Elegance" as well as new third location in coming year.
