PARIS GETS A NEW SKYSCRAPER

Paris will get its first new skyscraper in 30 years, which will be 180 meters high and will have an interesting triangular shape covered with glass panels...

This project, worth about 600 million Euros, designed by the Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron, and it will be set in the Porte de Versailles. If all goes according to plan, the skyscraper will be completed by 2018. The original plans for the construction were presented in 2008, when numerous controversies appeared. At the same time as the new post about this project new images and schemes of construction have emerged, and the project is titled Triangle 2.

Within the new skyscraper with 42 floors will be located four-star hotel and 120 rooms, Sky Bar and 70,000 m2 of office space. Modification schemes now include the construction of an additional 2,240 m2 of space for nursery for employees' children. This project will open around 5,000 jobs during its construction, and more so after the official opening.

Once built, the structure will be the fourth highest in the region of Paris. The Eiffel Tower is 324 meters high, while Montparnasse Tower measured 209 meters in height.
