Inspiring and modern Robins Way residence, designed by Bates Masi Architects studio, located in Amagasett, New York, USA.
The project consisted of complete renovation and expansion of 1960s kit house, in order to serve as a week-end retreat for the owners, a DJ and an interior designer.
The solution found by the project team was to reduce the existing structures to their skeletal framework and creatively improvise from that point. Uniform exterior is achieved by using dark-stained cedar, which wraps the facade and transitions to the replaced windows and doors, which are also made of cedar.
