UNDERWATER TENNIS COURT IN DUBAI

Having built a tennis court on the top of the Burj al Arab hotel, Dubai is making preparations for the construction of the field under water...

For this project, the architect hired Polish Krysztof Kotal, who had proposed that the underwater tennis courts are in the Persian Gulf, between the islands of Burj Al Arab and Palm Jumeirah. Sports complex will be designed with massive curved roof, which will contain a total of seven tennis courts. One of the best things about the whole project is that the roof will be fully transparent, so that the beautiful seascape enjoyable, both the players and the audience.

But for now there are a few problems with this construction, the architects have not yet managed to solve. The biggest problem is to find that large one-piece piece of glass that would cover a huge sports arena and withstand high pressure of water. Kotala argues that solutions will be found and that the complex will be built, and there is no better place in the world for such a project from Dubai.
