It's been a long gestation, but they've finally hatched: Faberge has released an exquisite new collection of jeweled eggs, the house's first collection of couture eggs since the Russian Revolution in 1917...

Fabergé's first high jewellery collection, Les Fabuleuses, is split into three main categories: Les Fleurs de Fabergé, Les Fables de Fabergé, and Les Fauves de Fabergé. By using bright colours and bold creations, the collection tries to express the new exoticism which tore apart entrenched artistic and cultural values at the time.

As a tribute to the legendary Imperial Eggs created by Peter Carl Faberge for Russia’s imperial family, the Romanov’s, the Les Fameux de Faberge line will surely make anyone feel like royalty. For $600,000 a necklace, however, you would probably have to be some kind of royal to afford it...
