Looking to three themes (Disappear Here, Stroke and Zero) to inform the new collection, Van Assche refers to contemporary art for inspiration. While Disappear Here references the paint splashes of Jackson Pollock that completely covered canvases, Stroke sees the use of smaller brush strokes. In stark contrast, the geometric use of black or large blocks of color represent Zero and its reference of abstract compositions of constructivist painting.
