The creative director of the brand, Virginie Viard, celebrates the joy of family gatherings with her new collection…
Chanel made all our post-pandemic fantasies and dreams of group gatherings and family soirees come true with its spring / summer 2021 Haute couture collection, which consists of 32 looks depicting a bohemian wedding on the outskirts of France. "I love big family gatherings, moments when all generations come together. That is the spirit of Chanel today, because Chanel is also a kind of family, "said Virginie.
In keeping with her homage to the family, older generations are represented by tweed pieces, in the form of vests and casual pants, as well as traditional blazer and skirt sets. For the younger ones, there is a mini black dress with tulle details, and for all those in between, there are pieces of lace that will definitely delight. The finale of the fashion show was presented by the bride, dressed in a magnificent dress decorated with crystals and pearls. Her main detail was a veil, decorated with jewels, which also closed the fashion show.
