Restaurant and bar, which were officially open on January 17th, drew inspiration from their vibrant surroundings. From the eclectic Portobello café to the exotic aura of Edgware Road, combined with a unique dosage of old fashioned British heritage, Lanes of London project presents the overwhelming cultural heritage and the identity of this city in a truly unique manner. Blacksheep studio had participated in developing this concept from the very beginning and in all its spheres: from creating the identity of this luxury restaurant, to culinary guidelines and menu, as well as interior designing.
Designer team started their work on this project by creating this brand’s visual identity, with using the best elements of the surroundings and the establishment itself, since it is an old fashioned villa, which was designed in 1800s by Frank Verity. Passersby and visitors of this amazing location can enjoy the view through large windows and the magnificent entrance, marked with a flag, which only adds to the prestige this place already has.
Materials which were used in designing this project were chosen with the unique goal of accentuating the famous heritage of this building. Designers used mirrors, wooden panels and flooring, with brass details. Artworks of new artists and old fashioned humor caricatures create a simple contrast, or to be more specific, a mixture of old ambiance with a new concept.
