DRIADE AT MAISON & OBJET

Ended a few days ago, Maison & Objet fair was the opportunity for Driade to show its eclectic collection driadekosmo, The world of objects.

The precious display, strong colors and lines inspired by the traditional Italian architecture, underlined a charming proscenium for the colorful characters that animated it.

Borek Sipek, creator of the first pieces of the collection, thanks to the uniqueness and originality of his neo baroque glasses, was the core of the exhibition

Plenty of room was devoted to his creations: the lamp Norma, a luminous sphere covered with gilded leaves that enriched and illuminated the space; the elegant vases Wells and Watteau that alternated with the most famous and colorful “icons” such as Pino, Maria Pia, Peary and Florian. To crown it all, Simon, the seven-branched candleholder with smooth curves, like shoots of a wild plant.

The display contained, together with the grand glasses from Bohemia, the sinuous forms of Turner candlestick by Xavier Lust and the poetic and essential glasses La Sfera by Ron Gilad, obtained by cutting a crystal sphere at different heights, the evanescent and enigmatic nacreous porcelains 6 Amici by Linde Burkhardt and the vibrant bone china vases Adelaide, by Xie Dong.

With RockleyGeorge Sowden approaches the world of vessels in a unique and strong way by creating irregular shapes: porcelain prototypes impossible to plagiarize but also sweetened by their material and white color, capable of creating lights and shadows.
The essential and sophisticated porcelain tableware The White Snow by Antonia Astori was made precious by different patterns : the collaboration with Laudani & Romanelli gave birth to Elizabeth, a tribute to the Elizabethan rose; Kingyo byVittorio Locatelli introduced the colorful marine world thanks to the movements of the fish across the surface and Agadir byPaola Navone reminded us of the Mediterranean flavors.

Tenochtitlan, the seven-branched red coral candleholder by Vittorio Locatelli couldn’t fail.
Kachnar, by Mann Sing tangle of leaves and flowers bound together to shape elegant centerpieces, introduced the Indian poetry and art.

Last but not least, Fabio Novembre with the collection of trays 100 Piazze, celebrated the magnificence of the Italian squares, a view of some of the most famous places of the peninsula, and Luciola, the lamp/cage to catch the fireflies, that still exist in the collection driadekosmo.
