At the Sotheby's auction, these chairs were sold at a price of 1.2 million dollars. The founder of St Gregory of Nyssa's Episcopal Church, Father Fabian, has always had an eye on Chinese art, and he wanted to buy his first piece of Chinese furniture, followed by his passion and love for this art has become even stronger.

The entire collection includes 63 classic pieces of furniture from the Ming period to the early days of the Qing Dynasty. There are also Huanghuai Latticework cabinets with corresponding panels, exquisitely carved Huanguali Bamboo-Style armchair, a few minor scholarly objects and of course, the aforementioned two chairs.

They have elegant and soft lines, which spread to the central part. There are three sections in the form of floating panels, as well as the character fu, Nanmu Burlwood central panel and numerous other interesting details, which will be immediately noticeable to a skillful eye.
