ZSA ZSA GABORS BEL AIR HOME

The story about Zsa Zsa Gabor’s Bel Air home that has lasted for two years, finally got an epilogue...

Frederic Prinz von Anhalt, ninth husband of the ailing 96-year-old actress, has made arrangements in court, so the couple can stay in their home for the rest of Gabor’s life. A Los Angeles judge ruled to allow them a deferred home sale transaction. For the next three year or until the actress dies, they will be able to remain in the house while receiving $325,000 a year from the home’s buyer.

Von Anhalt told reporters, “this decision is going to make her very happy,” and is optimistic about the future. “Hopefully she will be with us for more than three years. Her mother lived to be 102.”

Zsa Zsa Gabor has suffered from ailing health for some time. In January 2011, Prinz von Anhalt wanted to sell the Bel Air home for $28 million in order to cover the costs of Gabor’s medical bills, but in June 2011 he tried to sell it for almost half price than planned ($15 million).

Gabor’s 6,393-square foot Hollywood Regency-style house on about one acre of land is described as having commanding views of downtown Los Angeles, Santa Monica, the ocean and Catalina Island and is located on the exclusive Bel Air Road. The estate, which boasts four bedrooms and five bathrooms is decorated with unique accents including several horse head sculptures featured on tables throughout the home. The property also feature living quarters for the maids, a heated pool and an enclosed patio.
