PARIS AS A SMART CITY FROM THE FUTURE

Throughout the entire world today we see successful initiatives that have been undertaken on the topic of Smart City...

But what can we expect from the French company Vincent Callebaut Architectures, or what we can see from their plans for Paris is something unprecedented. Although we will have to wait until 2050, it will be worth waiting, because by works done on the French capital it will become a true paradise of smart architecture.

Following the Climate Energy Plan of Paris with the aim of reducing 75% of greenhouse gases and carbon emissions by 2050, Paris Smart City project includes research and development integration of tall buildings with a plus-energy system that produces energy for the surrounding areas. How to combat the phenomenon of urban hot islands, rising at the same time the population density of the city on the far slopes, this study shows us eight types of mixed towers.

The towers represent people returning nature in the heart of the city and integrated form of their design and the rules of bio-climate, as well as renewable and recyclable energy in innovative systems. In order to turn a new social innovation, they first introduced the new eco-responsible ways of life, which will raise the quality of life in cities, with an inviolable respect for the natural environment.

Mountain towers in the Rue de Rivoli - this will be a range of 15 green, solar and hydrodynamic towers that will use vegetation to air this famous shopping area.

Anti-smog towers on the Petite Ceinture - this will be a series of five gentle spiral towers, which will introduce eco-corridors in the historic district of Paris, which dates from the 14th century.

Photosynthetic towers at Montparnasse – with bio-facades decorated with algae, these towers will be the main decoration of the landscape that reminds of Central Park in New York.

Bamboo Nest towers in Massena - these thermodynamic green towers will be wrapped in networks of bamboo, which will include orchards and vertical gardens with vegetables.

Honeycomb towers in HBM Porte de Lilas - close to the so-called "gates of Paris" this development presents complex power supplies through a common power grid.

Farm skyscrapers at Porte d'Aubervilliers - rural areas coming into the city center through the construction of three vertical farms.

Mangrove towers in the Gare du Nord - using piezoelectric effect for the power supply of these towers, the towers will let Mangrove roots in their environment, like the wetland trees by which they got their name.

Bridge towers in the Pond - Aval - these will be the amphibious structures that will span over the river Seine and join the 12th district Pont Amon with the 16th district Pont Aval.
