AN $8 MILLION MASTERPIECE

Hi-tech gadgets such as an iPad from Apple are one of the most popular technology gift items for the upcoming Christmas buying season...

How about buying the world’s most expensive iPad? If you’re looking for one of the most over the top gifts found anywhere, consider  the $8 Million, Diamond Encrusted iPad. Offered by Stewart Hughes in the U.K., the stunning iPad 2 Gold History Edition will wow anybody on your gift list.

Starting with an Apple iPad 2, Stewart Hughes added 12.5 cts of ‘I’F’ Flawless diamonds.  The iPad 2 Gold History Edition is beautifully encrusted with a total of 53 individually set sparkling gems

What is it that makes this iPad 2 so unique? For starters, the back is made of 24 karat gold and the Apple logo has been encrusted with 52 diamonds. The front of the iPad is not plain black or white either. Instead, it is made of a 75-million-year-old ammolite rock and shavings from a 65-million-year-old Tyrannosaurus rex hipbone. This gives the front of the iPad a unique marbleized pattern, which is sure to stand out.

The final touches are on the home button, which contains a flawless 8.5 carat diamond that is inlaid in platinum and surrounded by 12 outer flawless diamonds.

The total specs on this iPad are: 16.5 carats of diamonds and an 8.5 carat single diamond, 57 grams of T. rex bone, 750 grams of ammolite stone and 2,000 grams of solid 24 karat gold. So what is the price? $8,000,000!

If you like this idea, but would like a little less expensive version, Stuart Hughes has created one that has been made with crystals instead of diamonds. You will not have the ammolite rock and T. rex bone on the front either. However, this iPad 2 will only set you back about $4,800.
