„Nokia“ was very specific in developing „Vertu“ as brand. If you have market that is big enough for luxury clothes and jewelry, what is wrong with cell phones? Main goal was to pull cell phones out of group of ordinary technological devices into category with Swiss watches and other luxury things.

Design department was under lead of Frank Nuovo, who is considered to be the father of all exclusive Nokia phones. Together with few more people he created most exclusive phones for this company. During the first years of their existence company tried to empower and find unique looks and target group.

What is unique about „Vertu“ phone is Yamaha audio system, used to reproduce all music and this is the only phone that is using this kind of system. Like in horology or jewelry business whole collection of phones was presented at the same time. „Vertu Ascent“ with pink edition is for female part of population and „Vertu Azure“ for male.

Special part of collection is limited edition characterized by a bit different look and materials. Most exclusive device on market is „Vertu Gold“ made from 18K gold and black leather.
