The Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, has launched the gigantic NEOM project, spanning 170km and already attracting global attention...

Situated in the northwest of Saudi Arabia, NEOM is larger than 10 Hong Kongs combined and is known for developing four key areas – Sindalah, Trojena, Oxagon, and The Line. However, in the past year, the kingdom has revealed many unique and spectacular plans for building a tourism economy.

NEOM has registered a series of trademarks, including Treyam, Aquellum, and Jaumur, indicating future projects in the region. With six out of the planned ten regions of NEOM announced, their designs, expected to be awe-inspiring, are soon to be revealed. Projects like Leyja and Epicon have also been developed. The Leyja project, located on the coast of the Gulf of Aqaba, will feature three environmentally sustainable hotels with a total of 120 boutique rooms and apartments. Epicon will be another premium tourist destination along the Gulf of Aqaba with two tall buildings measuring 225 and 275 meters in height.

Crown Prince MBS plans for the futuristic ski resort Trojena to be the host of the 2034 FIFA World Cup. This area includes a mountain village beside a 3.22-kilometer-long artificial lake, luxury residences, and wellness resorts. All these projects perfectly align with Saudi Vision 2030 and its commitment to sustainable tourism.

NEOM City, announced in 2017 as part of the Vision 2030 initiative, represents a new way of life. In 2023, NEOM announced several new luxury hotel projects, a new airline, a $1.5 billion high-speed rail, and a video showcasing significant progress in key areas.
