In the dynamic heart of São Paulo — where business, art, and nightlife intertwine in a seamless current — rises W Hotel São Paulo, the brand’s first property in Brazil and a striking new landmark in the vibrant district of Vila Olímpia.

Designed by aflalo/gasperini arquitetos, the project was conceived with a clear ambition: to elevate the experience of the city, not to enclose it within walls, but to translate its energy into architecture that breathes with it. From the very first glance, it becomes evident that the concept was guided by the idea of connecting the urban and the intimate, the public and the residential, the global and the local. This mixed-use complex integrates a hotel and branded residences into a single contemporary vertical structure, revitalizing the historic Via Funchal site and creating a fresh gravitational point for living, working, and leisure.

At ground level, the open block invites pedestrians to pass between Funchal and Helena streets via a landscaped pathway designed by Benedito Abud. The boundaries between exterior and interior nearly disappear: the same texture that defines the sidewalk flows into the building, forming a visual continuity that encourages passersby to linger, pause, and experience the space.

The first 23 floors are dedicated to W Residences, comprising 216 units ranging from 53 to 102 square meters. Each residence enjoys access to exclusive amenities — a pool, fitness center, panoramic lounges — all designed to open up to the city and its unceasing rhythm. The 24th floor marks the beginning of the hotel narrative: the reception area, an atmosphere of encounter, and the Yōso Bar & Café, where Japanese mixology pulses with Brazilian soul, becoming a nexus of São Paulo’s layered energies.

Higher up, the hotel unveils 179 rooms, including 16 suites, all designed by acclaimed Portuguese designer Nini Andrade Silva. Her interiors weave the textures, colors, and sounds of the city into spaces that unite Brazilian sensibility with cosmopolitan elegance.

At the very top, the rooftop skypool offers a breathtaking 360-degree panorama — a skyline where parks, avenues, and glittering lines of the metropolis merge into an immersive spectacle. It is a place that belongs to the hotel, yet feels intimately connected to the very sky of São Paulo.

The tower’s façade, featuring sculptural panels of varying dimensions and customized solutions for the ventilated cladding system, stands as one of the project’s greatest technical achievements. The refined black cladding ascends the entire structure before culminating at a height of 120 meters, defining the hotel as a new visual landmark in the city.

W Hotel São Paulo is more than architecture — it is a manifesto of a city that has transformed its own momentum into identity. Through its reinterpretation of luxury via design, art, and experience, the project symbolizes a new era of urban hospitality — vibrant, interconnected, and unapologetically cosmopolitan.
