FENDI CASA FOR MONACO YACHT CLUB

Fendi Casa, synthesis of elegance, tradition and innovation, furnishes the most prestigious areas of the new Monaco Yacht Club, in collaboration with Jacques Grange, one of the most talented French international interior designers, inaugurated on June 20th and attended by HSH Prince Albert II.

The Principality, symbol of a timeless art de vivre celebrates a nautical heritage of grandeur and passion for the sea with a project that comes off of the drawing table of Lord Norman Foster. One of the most acclaimed architects in the world gives life to an extraordinary building defined by geometrical lines and advanced materials, thus redesigning the exclusive profile of the harbour thanks to a structure characterised by a vast array of spacious terraces that offer visual continuity of the breath taking skyline.

“We are honoured to have furnished the new Monaco Yacht Club, in collaboration with Grange, and proud to be an integral part of this remarkable project that springs from the creativity of Norman Foster. That special bond that Fendi Casa shares with the world of design and luxury is rekindled thanks to this hallmark project. The Monaco Yacht Club is one of the world’s unique and stunning places where tradition and heritage create a mélange with innovation and creativity, values that are dearly prized our Maison”, said Pietro Beccari, Chairman and CEO of Fendi.

Jacques Grange’s style, whose clients have included a fair deal of the world’s greatest and most exacting style-setters, among them Yves St. Laurent and Caroline, Princess of Monaco, creates a new yachting lifestyle in which furniture and settings create a perfect and harmonious balance. The décor of lounges, private areas and guest rooms all feature the furniture of the Fendi Casa Contemporary collection – such as the sofas Soho and Metropolitan, Serengeti tables matched with Blixen chairs and Columbus coffee tables – where the iconic and contemporary design lines intertwine with the romantic and poetic taste of the French decorator in a bouquet of finesse.

An exercise of style that faithfully reinterprets the values of Monaco’s Royal Family with a modern flair that never fails to showcase its refreshing dashes of originality and versatility. The furnishings bear pastel nuances, natural shades such as leather, sand, ivory and essences; the nuances cascade in a variation of colour, from white for the Fendi Outdoor collection that embellishes the magnificent external deck and pool area, to creations that boast hints of colour for the cushions that sport the richly embroidered YCM logo.

A new and eclectic classicism that finds full and unrestricted expression within the office of HSH, the Prince of Monaco. It is here that Jacques Grange envisions a unique place characterised by a poise of balanced and sculptural proportions, creating an atmosphere that communicates charm and elegance to cradle the stylistic continuity with the Yacht Club. In middle of the room is adorned by the iconic rectangular Margutta – table with the top in precious ebonised sycamore and brilliant steel inserts that shape a graphic design of the maxi Fendi logo – while Ripetta seats intelligently complete the luxurious ambience to paint a picture of a refined and evocative atmosphere while managing to step beyond rigid expressive formalisms.

Fendi Casa renews and strengthens cooperation with the French designer Jacques Grange, already the protagonist in the magnificent project linked to Palazzo Orsi Mangelli – headquarters of Luxury Living Group, the exclusive Fendi Casa licensee.

“I am proud to take part of the realisation of the new Monaco Yacht Club, prestigious location that faithfully interprets the values and the style of Fendi Casa”, says Alberto Vignatelli, Chairman of the Luxury Living Group. “Moreover, collaborating once again with Jacques Grange provided me the opportunity to admire his innate sense for decorative arts, able to emphasise a place of outstanding value with great sensibility and foresight”.

“I am overjoyed to have contributed to Fendi Casa’s extraordinary project for the Monaco Yacht Club, designed by Norman Foster, as well as having worked for the Royal Family with whom I have long and unwavering relations of profound respect and dear friendship. The immense generosity of Alberto Vignatelli, who shared the collection of Fendi Casa, touches me deeply, and for that I thank him with utmost esteem“, notes Jacques Grange.
