It is the architecture of chameleon, which is located on a rock high above the Aegean Sea. As stated in the official description of the project, it is a geometric transition area and plain statement of simplicity and harmony of contemporary architecture. Casa Brutale project is made entirely of glass, concrete and wood, with a main focus on landscape and the ocean. The roof of this project was presented as a glazed bottom of the pool, as perfect and poetic continuation of the Aegean Sea, in perfect correlation with a perfect blue sky.
Fifty steps lead owners of this home to its interior or to the bottom, where the high revolving door of an old tree. As a deliberate detail, opens us to the rest of the home, which is a raw, open and simple. Handmade dining table made of concrete is accompanied by an adequate set of concrete benches, which are coated wooden surface. Behind the seating space, there is a fireplace, which represents a unique sculpture, while in the area behind the dining table is a room for guests Zoellner made under an old-fashioned glass roof. In addition to the guest rooms, there is a small passage that leads to the storage space, bathroom and toilet.
Thin metal staircase leads us to mezaninskog floor, where the master bedroom is fully exposed to the fascinating and powerful view of the sea. The bed is made of cast concrete with wooden finishing details, while the walls are covered with mirrors, to emphasize the play of light and shadow.
As they say the designers of this project, and architects OPA study, Casa Brutale redefines the harmonious coexistence of man and nature, in a poetic homage to clean brutalism.
