This new hotel opened in London, CitizenM Hotel, south of Tate Modern galery, shows impressive and various designs of studio Concrete Architectual Associates.
Whit it’s 192 rooms, hotel is a creative workshop for designers and artists: ’’ground hall, with an open hall, it it’styled so it looks like a living room of a man who likes to travel’’, explains Robin Chadha.
’’Every detail is is designed to conect elegance with old wealth, and all with cooperation with furinture designe Vitra. Also, there is a new focus on conteporary art (hotel is right next to Tate Modern galery), with a motto ’’Another World Is Possible’’, which was done by artist Mark Titchner, nominated for Turner award, and it is located on outside facade.
There is also interior work which authors are Gavin Turk, Mario Testino and a video of belgian artist Hans ob de Beeck, and astonishing mural from floor to sealing from hyper modern colective Assume Vivid Astro Focus (AVAF).
One of the most impressive design caracteristics of this hotel is the atrioum. With a wooden platform which decorates the space and birches that make it more alive, this other space look like a modern oasis.
