Officially launched last Tuesday, this is the largest Lhasa five star hotel, with 289 rooms, 17 of which are spacious and extremely luxury suits. Hotel amenities which await for you in this hotel are 24 hour medical care, and the first “Oxygen Lounge”, where O2 levels are equal like the ones at sea level, so the guests could easily adapt to living on the height of 3650 meters.
Interior of all rooms and suits presents traditional Tibetan elements of decoration, like bold colors and pricey rare materials. The focus point at the reception of this hotel is 6.5 meters tall chandelier, made from 61.000 pieces of crystal and amazing red fabric.
Guests are greeted in a typical Tibetan manner upon their arrival. First, they are presented with white khada, traditional ceremonial scarf, which represents high respect, then, there is the chimera offering, of to be more specific, roasted barley and butter mix, for prosperous life, and at the end, there is the traditional Tibetan toast, with the finest Tibetan wine, made from special kinds of barley. After that, guests are sent to their rooms. Upon their departure, guests have another ceremony to attend, which is based on traditional Tibetan music and dance.
