We’ve already talked about the Ice Hotel... but now we are talking about a place which is something special made of ice, open all year round...
Swedish Icehotel has 365 hotel is a cool twist when it comes to icy winter wonderland. Located in the town of Jukkasjarvi in Lapland, at only 200 kilometers from the Arctic Circle, this establishment measuring 2,100 m2 has twenty suites, an ice bar serving champagne and other drinks as well as ice gallery, all made of ice and snow in the hands of selected artists from around the world. 30,000 liters of Torne River has been turned into snow, and several tons of ice was removed from the river in order to create parts of the hotel.
One of the suites is a deluxe suite 365, named The Victorian apartment. It contains the most interesting decor of ice, while the new solar panels allow the hotel to collect energy during the summer, which cools its interior and provides a nice atmosphere and ice during the warmer months.
Art suite of the hotel includes an ice sculpture of a deer. No one will hold it against you if you start to fantasize about being in a Disney movie while you are in this hotel, because all its suites and rooms are really fantastic.
Design elements alone will inspire the imagination, whilst the chandelier in the main hall will swipe you of your feet. Although famous for ice rooms, this hotel offers several "warm" rooms that will offer you higher temperatures to enjoy in. Travelling to Sweden in itself can be interesting enough, this hotel certainly makes us want to go even more.
