DREE HEMINGWAY for ERMANNO SCERVINO

Papa Hemingway may have been more of a bullfighting man, but great-granddaughter Dree is all about the equestrian-chic in her new role as the face of Ermanno Scervino…

Ermanno Scervino has chosen the contemporary beauty of Dree Hemingway for the new autumn-winter campaign 2012-13.

rmanno Scervino: “Dree expresses the modernity of an unconventional and free female elegance.”

The lovely Miss Hemingway replaces Alice Dellal in the designer's just-released Fall 2012 ad campaign, hitting the stables in gorgeous embellished gowns, animal-print knits, beautifully draped tops, and sporty riding caps. Looks like Miranda Kerr isn't the only model who knows how to make jodhpurs look sexy.

In an almost surreal atmosphere, Dree flaunts the garments of a collection inspired by the equestrian world, showcasing a new concept of nonconventional and free elegance. "Dree flaunts the garments of the collection inspired by the equestrian world, showcasing a new concept of modernity and an unconventional and free female elegance," the label says of the darkly glamorous.

Shot in New York, the campaign is set in a futuristic stables with rusty metal walls and sand-strewn floors complete with a black horse, which fires the imagination. Shot by Francesco Carrozzini, the dark and elegant ads show Dree posing alongside a huge Friesian horse, which makes them that much more striking.

“I’ve always been attracted by that ambivalent role of the horse,” explains Ermanno Scervino, “it’s at once noble and charged with sensuality and interior strength, just like my concept of elegance.”

The fusing of unconventional and luxury, debunking and craftsmanship, that once again the artful shots of photographer Francesco Carrozzini have succeeded in enhancing. The male face is the British singer Josh Beech.

The new campaign will be visible from July on in the leading international press and on the website www.ermannoscervino.it., also in video version, with a short interview with Ermanno Scervino on the set.

On the web, facebook and twitter, various photos snitched from the backstage.
