Like every year, the new Moncler Genius Series Collection is pushing the boundaries in its own way…
For the 2019-2020 World Premiere Tour, the Moncler brand teamed up with famed Italian designer, Pierpaolo Piccoli, who is currently leading the Valentino brand, to co-create 1 Moncler Pierpaolo Piccioli Genius project. One project within the latest Moncler Genius range, 1, signifies the "pure essence" shown to us by Piccioli’s transformation of the legendary Moncler puff jacket into a line of exclusive full-length dresses with floor-length skirts.
The Moncler Genius Series will give us the opportunity each month to see a new line of this brand, created in collaboration with the chosen designer. In addition to the collections, a series of events scheduled for the popular Moncler Tour in numerous countries and cities around the world will focus on creativity and genius from every corner of our planet. The latest collection - 1 by Moncler Pierpaolo Piccioli, was unveiled for the first time during Milan Fashion Week and can now be seen in Moncler boutiques worldwide.
The Nylon lacquered collection presents us with Piccioli’s idea of combining grandiose forms of haute couture with designs that lean toward African textiles. Inspiration came from supermodel, Lee Kebeda, and her brand Lemlem. Piccoli hired her to help the collection authentically reflect Ethiopian culture with the help of interesting designs. I
The collection contains voluminous nylon-vinyl dresses, which are similar in general form but quite different when it comes to color and minor details, but the only pieces that can be bought are Gabrielle, Evelyn and Anna feather jackets that come with the same colors and patterns.
