However, many fans forget that he enjoys a refined glass of champagne, and since 1979, his favorite is the Champagne Bollinger, which was caused by accident. In 1978, Bond films producer Albert Broccoli Cubby, met with Christian Bizoux, the then general manager of the brand. The two of them at that moment started the long-term friendship, and Bollinger became the favorite champagne of James Bond.

First appearance of champagne in the Bond film took place in 1973 in the realization of Live & Let Die. Five years later, it became the official champagne of the franchise and appeared in Moonraker movie in 1979. The film Spectre, will celebrate its fifteenth performance. To mark this important anniversary, the French champagne house Bollinger will present exclusive Spectre Crystal Set 007, the Bollinger RD 1988 Magnum version, in a limited edition of just 307 numbered editions, priced at $ 9,500. Bollinger R. D. 1988 is one of the most exclusive cuvees of this house and a mixture of 72% Pinot Noir and 28% Chardonnay.

Eric Berthes designed the handmade crystal set, which was built by Saint Louis Crystal Works. As a company that has a long history, founded 1586, it is now owned by Hermes group. As for the design, the famous Bond gun barrel is presented at the base of the decanter with metallic accents on the upper part and Spectre octopus emblem.
