Jacob & Co. is a name synonymous with timepieces that resemble works of art…
These watches are as detailed as artwork and, in some cases, even more expensive. Following their announcement related to the Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co. skyscraper in Dubai, they have added another achievement to their portfolio: premium alcoholic beverages.
The Jacob & Co. x Alec Monopoly Limited Edition Whiskey emphasizes its status as one of the most exclusive whiskeys, with only two thousand decanters available. Such rarity is hard to come by, and when found, it carries a price tag of $2,500.
The youngest whiskey in the blend is 30 years old. Former Bowmore master distiller and Scottish whiskey legend, Andrew Rankin, blended the finest Scottish whiskeys from first and second-fill ex-Bourbon American oak casks. Initially aged for 26 years, the blend was immediately transferred to new American oak bourbon casks. The whiskey spent the next four years mingling and maturing, making the Jacob & Co. x Alec Monopoly Limited Edition whiskey a 30-year-old blend. The result is a smooth, creamy, long-lasting spirit with oak notes, enriched with the finest available materials - the finest gemstones and the most intricate mechanical constructions.
The balance of exceptionally rare and aged Scottish whiskeys in this blend embodies such quality. Contemporary artist Alec Monopoly brings this endeavour to life through the decanter. As a long-time friend of the Jacob & Co. brand, Alec makes the whiskey bottle stand out by using graffiti, highlighting it with his distinctive colours, fonts, and letters. The first decanter of Jacob & Co. x Alec Monopoly Limited Edition whiskey will be a special edition, individually and personally painted by Alec Monopoly, and set for auction.
This initiative marks a brilliant expansion of Jacob & Co.'s identity as a luxury lifestyle brand, with their 100-story high-rise, diamond-encrusted "Billionaire" credit card, and now this liquid gold.
