Ultra special editions of a famous whiskey

Whiskey connoisseurs will be thrilled with the news we have for them this time…

Diageo Global Travel has recently revealed its plans to launch Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Glenury Royal in Octobre. This limited edition will be the third in a series of special editions created with the use of “rare” and “ghost” whiskies from the reserves otherwise used for creating Johnnie Walker Blue Label.

This special edition will contain Highland single malt from the Glenury Royal Distillery, along with the two special mixtures from “ghost” distilleries of Cambus and Pittyvaich which were specifically chosen by Johnnie Walker Master Blender Jim Beveridge and his team. The ensemble will contain five different names - Glen Elgin, Inchgower, Glenlossie, Cameronbridge and Glenkinchie, which will bring its notes of vanilla, honey, dried fruits, dark chocolate and nuts. Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and rare Glenury Royal whiskies have been bottled with ABV 43.8 %, while each of them will be individually numbered as well.

Commenting this collection, Diageo Global Travel’s Marketing and Innovation Director Anna MacDonald in a statement said: “With presenting Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Glenury Royal editions, single malt fans will get the chance to taste some of the rarest and the most luxurious whiskies which exist and explore the taste depths of now silent distilleries”.
